ABOUT THE PASTOR

Get to Know Our Pastor at New Life Ministry Baptist Church
Dr. Kenneth Foy, Sr. is our dedicated Pastor here at New Life Ministry Baptist Church in New Orleans. In April 2009, he, his wife and family restarted our ministry after the church was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. They were determined to continue doing this great work of God.
His Family Life
Aside from being a pastor, Dr. Kenneth Foy, Sr. is also a licensed marriage and family therapist, a compassionate counselor, a caring husband, and a loving father. He has been married to his lovely wife, Angela, for more than 31 years. They have two beautiful daughters together, Reagan and Angel.

A Troubled Past
As a result of Pastor Foy's continual rejection of Jesus Christ, he found himself serving over a ten-year prison sentence. Prison was the place where he had is first genuine encounter with Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior, but not long afterward, the prison was also the place where Pastor Foy acknowledged and accepted his call to ministry.

Turning His Life Around
After serving for more than 10 years in prison, Pastor Foy enrolled in the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was ordained as a minister of the Gospel in 1997 at the Elysian Fields Baptist Church by Dr. Ken Taylor.
Deciding to further his knowledge and educational background, he obtained the following degrees & counseling license:
